Title: MC 11.1.41 bugs and ?'s

Unexpected, though very infrequent program exits.  Usually on file renaming operations.

Check for updates does not report updates (and never has as far as I can tell), so I assume that the latest MC v11.1.4x is not considered an update.  Is that correct?  Also, I have always upgraded to the latest in the past, and usually had no problem.  Somehow, the latest posting of v11.1.49 has me worried.  Would it be wise to adopt a policy of upgrading to one version behind the latest or am I just reading too much into the latest posting of the newest version?

Correct. Check for updates only reports major updates, not the daily minor ones.

If you are worried, 11.0.x is a safer version. 11.1 is pretty new.

If you already have 11.1.41, be sure to get 11.1.49.
