Title: Playing Now Visual Bug??
Post by: LonWar on November 08, 2005, 07:02:30 pm
Hi Jim, I have sent you an email with 2 pictures.

The following has started with any of the 11.1.xx versions. I have went back to 11.0.xxx and all was fine.
This is also with 2 computers.

Visual bug...

Play a track,
Switch to Playing Now. The top part of the screen still shows the previous view.... This happens on both my computers.
I have also verified that this was not the case with 11.0.xxx

Thanks,

Anybody else see this? Any ideas?

Thanks Jim,

The top of the screen will be whatever screen I was last on. It only happens with the Playing Now screen.
I have tried this on both my computers with the same result.
If I regress back to 11.0 all is well..

Any third party plug-ins?

Anything else unusual?

Does anyone else see this problem?

No, I just tried with .53 and going from anywhere on the tree to playing now works as expected.

What video card and driver are you using?

only question that springs to my mind atm is:

Does it do this all the time? I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that you have 25,000 files in the playing now list.

Is that 11.1 you have running there? I'm about to test-run the latest build as i'm keen to try out the new "time ago" syntax. That audible store icon really is an eyesore huh?

The new time syntax is great. And for me the changes between tree locations is almost instant. Betwen the two it is worth the download.

No, the audible stuff are things of beauty...

What video card and driver are you using?
On my home computer, the latest ATI drivers. I have a AIW9800pro
My work computer, Well, the drivers for this card no longer gets updated.

Does it do this all the time? I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that you have 25,000 files in the playing now list.
Yep, I can do it anytime. The 25K of files was a mistake, but if you look at picture 1, there are no songs on PN and the defect is there.

Is that 11.1 you have running there? I'm about to test-run the latest build as i'm keen to try out the new "time ago" syntax.
Yep, this has happened with all versions of 11.1. If I go back to 11.0 it's OK.

I was going to post this visual defect, but  imjustagamer beat me to it. Anyway, I have the same problem
Makes me feel better that it's not just me.

 Any third party plug-ins?
Makes, no difference, Tried disabling them and no change.

 Anything else unusual?
Always.... But not with MC.

Does anyone else see this problem?
Two Wire does.

My guess is video driver.   Is the work computer also an ATI card?

What third party programs are you running?

G-Force?

Disabling sometimes may not be enough.  Uninstalling may be necessary to find the problem.

Can you and Two Wire see what you have in common?  You could start by posting your system info from MC Help.

How about a complete list of all non JRiver plug-ins you're using.

Ummmm.... I Kinda feel stupid...    ::)

I did a fulll uninstall....Deleted anything that had to do with MC,
Rebooted
Reinstalled MC11.1 and the visual bug seems to be gone,

I will try the same thing with my home PC tonight.... I guess maybe a corrupt file in MC?

Thanks for your assistance Jim!

I did uninstall all the plugins first, the only thing I use at work was PlayingNow Plugin.
Title: Re: Playing Now Visual Bug?? Can activate and deactivate the bug!
Post by: LonWar on November 09, 2005, 10:03:52 am
Nope Skip that .......... BUT I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!

If I haev auto hide bars on in the Options - Playback - Display Settings, it's fine.
If I switch it to always show, then I get the image problem.

Can you guys see this now?
