Hey I tried to use MC with the 5G iPod Video and when I load up iTunes after that iTunes complains that my iPod is unreadable, and that I have to restore it. Is this a known issue?
-
You may have better luck not using both programs with your iPod.
However, MC 11.1 (in alpha on this board) should work back-and-forth with iTunes.
Thanks.

So are other features of iPod Syncing in iTunes gonna come over to MC? Like photo syncing, outlook syncing etc?
I'll try MC alpha thanks!

Okay so its working fine now, but now the problem is MC is syncing so so slowly... I've never used MC for this before, but is it supposed to be so slow, it takes a good 30-60 secs to upload a single mp3

Okay I hope i'm not just talking to myself here, but here's the bug I found with the iPod video syncing
- If I change the option to convert files as needed to "don't convert", it doesn't remember this
- If I use the sync option instead of manually dragging the files across, each file takes more than a minute to transfer
Both these are very serious issues in the syncing functionality of the 5G iPod.
Hope this helps...

jaingaurav,
I have a 5G ipod and this has not been my experience at all. In fact, my transfer speeds in MC are faster than they are in iTunes. I have mine set to "not convert" and MC remembers this setting.
Which version of MC are you using? I am using 11.1.55
What original format are your files in?
Have you tried resetting the handheld devices in MC and starting over?

Okay the "not convert" option is still a problem, but using it I found it was probably the source for my slow transfers. What I had to do is that take out any non-mp3 files from the sync list, and then it did it super fast. I guess its a bug with the syncing while the converting option is on??
btw i am using 11.1.56
