Title: Media Server already running ERROR
Post by: ecooper on November 14, 2005, 04:33:26 pm
Can someone tell me how to kill Media Server. Every time I try to access I receive a message that it is already running. I know it is not running in XP processes or applications. No service is running and I am unable to access my database from another PC. Media Center 10.

Look in the lower right corner of your desktop.  One of the icons is probably Media Server.

No icons appear in the system tray. Remove and reinstalls don't work either. It has to be a registry setting.

Doubtful.  Try an uninstall/reinstall.
