Title: Server (Library & Media) and IP address
Post by: JSmithson on November 17, 2005, 06:59:09 pm
I haven't used the server in quite awhile and forgot how it goes. I guess Library server has replaced the media server and is accessed from the Plugins tree. (But I can still start Media server from advanced tools and it shows in the windows tray???)

But what I can't remember is how to tell what my IP address is. Can anyone help. It is some config command I type in the run box.

Thanks

Jim

if you want to be able to tell your ip, just right click on network places and then go to properties.  then click on the active network connection.

you are right, you can go to the command prompt and enter in 'ipconfig', which will also display your ip address (and is probably a little simpler to remember how to do as well).

Thanks

As soon as I posted I remembered the ipconfig, but figured someone else might want to know how to do it too.
Plus I found the new way yo do it.
