I am syncing my podcasts to my iPod by putting them in a smartlist.
> Is there another way of transferring them?
After the podcasts are transferred, they are recognized as songs, not podcasts.
That means that the 'shuffle songs' option on my iPod plays all songs including the podcasts. The ipod manual states that podcasts (transferred by iTunes) will be skipped.
> Is MC not (yet) making an podcast recognizable as a podcast as iTunes does?
Remark: my podcasts are not available by choosing Music > Podcasts. In fact that menu option is not avialable. I guess that is because the ipod does not recognize any podcasts??

i suppose with podcasts having a genre of "Podcast", setting up a smartlist of that genre is the easiest way to manage them at the moment. an alternative could be to just drag and drop them directly on to the device.

on your ipod go to Settings > Main Menu > Podcasts ... you will see the menu option is set to "Off". change it to "On". you will now see the "Podcast" option in your main menu.
i agree it would be more convenient for the podcasts to be available thru this dedicated "Podcast" menu route but i'm guessing this will come with time - MC11.1.65 is, after all, still an alpha product.

Thnx for your reply. I have changed the setting on the iPod.
Off course i will be checking the next releases for additional functionality.
