Title: MC 11.1 won't play files

Played around with recent MC11 versions, and noticed some problems:

MC 11.1.65 won't import mp3 tags when doing an import. It won't even import the tags when using "Library Tools/Update Library from Tags". I've tried this with several different mp3 files (different encoders, bitrates, etc.).

MC 11.1.65 and 11.1.66 won't play any files at all. I keep getting "Media Center has encountered... ...unable to play"-messages for all my tracks.

After the installation of MC 11.1.60, both problems are gone. The effects are 100% reproduceable (tried it several times).

My library and media files are located on a W2K server, and are adressed via UNC (\\<server_name\<share_name>\...) - this could be the source of the problems.

Try assigning the share as a drive.

Thanks for the quick answer, JimH! I could switch to drive letters, but i'd prefer not to because:

- all the links inside MC's database would not work anymore (as they are using the UNC filenames)
- i never had troubles with using share names until MC 11.1.65
