Title: iPod Syncing Not Working

I have an iPod Nano and when I try to sync it with MC 11; it doesn't work. I didn't bother converting it from wma into aac(m4p) format because it said that it would install some sort of software that would make it work. Then, when I looked on my iPod it didn't work, so I tryed to convert my audio files to aac but I unfortunately couldn't find an option to do that. Is there some plugin that I could find...or am I not just looking hard enough? Thanks for helping:)

Sync worked great on a brand new nano purchased yesterday.
11.1.71 build.  MP3 formatted files.
Did coverart and playlists fine too.
