Please post your system info here (Help/System info). Can you burn CD's ok with other apps? How long have you been using MC and did it work ok in the past?

Do you have any idea what could have changed since the last time it worked? Have you installed new programs or hardware?
Please open Media Center's system info window (Help > System Info). The text content will be copied to the clipboard and you can paste it into your reply (right-click > paste).

Does it occur with Test Mode on? Available from
Tools -> Options - >CD & DVD Burning.
Also have you tried different CDR's?
There was a post recently where someone found certain
media combinations with certain drives were causing issues,
although this wouldn't explain why it then works in WMP etc...
Try to avoid writing in capitals on forum boards. It means your capslock
is on, press it again to turn it off. It makes people think you are shouting :)

As a test, enable "test mode" as suggested (nothing will be written to disk so you won't end up with coasters). Also drop the write speed to 4X and turn off the CD-Text option. Don't do anything else on the computer while the burn is taking place. If this works, turn off the "test mode" and try a real burn. Let us know if you can burn a disk with these options.
Thanks.

Also, you could disable this:
Use playback settings: Yes
Tools > Options > CD & DVD Burning > Untick: Apply cross-fade and DSP effects to the CD
-
That's a good point Alex.
Also, you can create a log file (Help/Configure debug logging...). In the "Types of events to log" window checkmark "CD". Check "output to a log file" and click Ok. Now attempt a CD burn and if it fails, bring up the debug logging window again and click "click to view current log file". Save the text file and email it to me.
