Title: Ipod playlists and MC - what am I not getting?
Post by: Jefe74 on December 16, 2005, 05:12:03 pm
OK, so just bought a nano, upgraded MC to 11.1.182, and added a bunch of music by drag and drop.  Everything transcoded and transfered fine, even with cover art! (took a while, but it was going from WMA lossless to MP3 VBR)

So how do I organize playlists for the stuff that is on the Ipod?  I can create an on-the-go playlist on the nano and save it, but I can not see this inside MC.  And when I click on the "Playlist" tag under the Ipod in the MC tree, I don't see anything, and it does not seem to give me an option to create a new one.

Is there a way inside MC to manage the playlists on the Ipod?

Thanks,
Jeff

You start out by creating the playlists in MC.
Then go to tools > options > handheld.
Click the Sync Mode - playlists option to get it out of manual mode.
Check the boxes next to each playlist that you want on the ipod.
When you sync, it'll put those playlists and their contents on the nano.
