Title: iAPP HS-SM
Post by: okvaal on December 18, 2005, 01:29:31 pm
Earlier this afternoon, after MC had a minor crash (don't know if it's related), this message appeared: "Media Center has detected a new advice attached to your machine iAPP HS-SM. Do you want Media Center to recognize this device as a portable media player?"
Any idea what iAPP HS-SM is, or what I should do with it?

Could it be a memory card that's inserted in your reader?

eh - sorry, what reader? anyway, there is nothing there now that wasn't there prior to the program's hang-up a few seconds earlier . . . .

All the previous will happen when I try to open Drives&Devices. I still haven't installed any new memory cards or portable devices, yet there is now another message in MC, this time regarding iAPP HS-CF! If I click "Yes" (I want MC to recognize this as a new portable), there's another box asking how I want this portable to work with media, manually transfer tracks or auto-sync my playlists, or auto-sync player and My Library when the device is plugged in. The last choice is grayed out, regarding auto-deleting tracks not in library from portable auto-sync. (This can not be undone and may result in loss of tracks.) I'm getting a bit worried by now . . .
