Title: mp4 file will not play

I try to play a mpeg-4 file and I get:
"....the mp4 player's native playback engine.  You may not  have installed on your computer Directshow filters for decodinhg the type of file you are trying to play."

What/where do I get the filters?

mp4 is a container format. The actual filters needed depend on its contents. Try:
