Title: MC .exe is generating errors (Audioscrobbler was the problem
Post by: modelmaker on December 20, 2005, 05:38:27 pm
I can't seem to get through a whole track without MC quitting. After a couple of minutes I get that message, MC has generated errors and must close. I reinstalled
10 and no change. Same happens with version 11.

This situation is happening with my laptop and 2 external HDs. Actually this my carputer and worked fine all summer and fall.

Any ideas out there?

Please install the latest version.  (11.0.316 or 11.1.86)

If you still see errors, please let us know the exact text.

Thanks.

Sorry, my bad! I had that stupid AudioScrobbler on without being logged in. I trashed it and both versions 10 & 11 (the latest) are working again.

FYI Matt: On this old Thinkpad MC 10 works better. The crossfading doesn't work when I use MC 11. But for a carputer  MC10 is more than enough! :) Thanks for the input and Happy Holidays to you and the J River team!

Jay.

People Who Use That Plug-In Normaly Run Into Problems.

In MC11 If MC Crashes It Will Turn Off The 3rd Party Plug-Ins So MC11 Helps Solve Some Of The Problems That 3rd Party Plug-Ins May Cause.

I can only blame myself this time and the loss of some memory cells.  ;D I did the same thing a while back and seem to have just spaced it from my mind.

Not possible to fix the plugin ? ?
Only 2 possibilities:

1- JRiver could add this option/function
2- Get the AS folks to fix their plugin.

Neither is likely, but I'd sure like to see #1.
