Dear Valued EMusic Customer,
We're pleased to announce the addition of the EMusic
Download Manager 1.0. This easy to use software
application will help make your downloading experience
a breeze.
You've been chosen as part of a select group to try
out the EMusic Download Manager before the launch of
the application to the entire site. We ask that you
take the time to visit this URL: Removed
to download the application. Once the EMusic Download
Manager 1.0 has been downloaded and installed, visit
the EMusic site and download some music.
The download manager should pop up when you click on
any download button and begin to send the music you
selected to the My EMusic folder on your desktop,
which will be created when you download the software.
Your feedback is of the utmost value to us, so please
email us at betafeedback@emusic.com with any concerns,
problems or suggestions. Please include:
1. Operating system (Windows 98, etc.).
2. Browser type and version.
3. Internet connection speed (56K, DSL, cable, Ethernet, etc.).
4. Details about what you attempted to do.
5. Error message you received.
If you decide you no longer want to use the EMusic
Download Manager you will need to visit this URL: Removed
to turn off the application.
Thanks for you help. Your feedback will help EMusic
provide our customers the best music-downloading
experience possible.

But....Where's The Beef??
-
well MJ DM is better, for sure.
I don't feel so special getting the E-mail because i already downloaded the version 1.0 off e-music since it is aval to everyone.
I think they just want users to use it\try it, and they failed to know i already downloaded it and used it.
-
They didn't send me any e-mail along those lines. Maybe you actually were selected for Beta testing by them, too.

It's because King watches TV. Rockford Files tonight?

On TV Tonight (http://www.FoxNews.Com)

I got the email as well
Gave a try to they download manager.
For someone not using MJ i do think is a good + to have it.
But nothing special,not faster.
Cannot say that MJ one is better. But with it you can download more than one song at the time.
With the Emusic one ,it is only one song at the time.[I can be wrong, but i do not see any settings about it.]
The interface is very neat
