Title: Philips Streamium SL50i
Post by: naio on December 21, 2005, 10:28:16 am
Has anyone run MC11 on the Philips Streamium SL50i?

In my case the receiver doesn't see the server.

Any trick?

Thanks.

What options do you have set in the UPnP Server?

In the UPnP server plugin options window:

Don't convert files
Specify IP address (I wrote my PC IP address)
Receiver Philips Streamium

The rest of options are grayed and unmodifiable under the settings above, anyway only:

Include SessionID
Allow visual content
Filter international characters

are actually selected

Doesn't work neither with 11.1. SL50i still doesn't see the server.

May be should I specify a port in the settings?

Another question, in case MC finally works with the SL50i, does the MC allows to control the streaming from the server? I mean, can I use my PC to control the songs played into the SL50i?

Thanks

MC works wel with my Streamium SL400i, not sure how the SL50 is different.

MC contains a UPnP server only, so you can't use it to control a player.  You'll need a UPnP control point to control renderers.  Try Cidero which does work with other Streamiums like the Sl300 and SL400.  http://cidero.com/

I don't know, if you want to do a sniff with ethereal, I'll take a look to see what's going on. Send it to gateley @ jriver.com

I sent this back to get reimbursement after a new intel Advent was limp in my grasp. You will need to have a toy trolley near to the receiver for startup.
