I have searched the forums for info and tried un-installed and re-installed MC and can not get cd ripping to work. I have not tried it on any other versions other than this beta, so I can not say that it ever worked with my system.
The error message:
Plugin not found or incorrect interface version. Please reinstall the latest "plug-in"
I can rip the CD's with Windows or Nero and have no issues, it would just be nice to use only one program for all. I am using the Sony CD/DVD as the ripping device.
I have checked and the CDA plugin is in the input plugin section.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like an old encoder is being found. Uninstall all MC versions, reboot and reinstall.
Also, try picking a different encoder. (or WAV)
Let us know what you find.

Updating this so future queries of posts might find it helpfull. After doing the above, complete un-install, reboot and re-install including reg settings, I still had the same issue. This was with the .89 beta version. Turns out the cda file type was not checked under tools->options->file associations so the cda plugin was not being found correctly. Simple "check the box" and all is good.

I am having the exact same problem with 11.0.280 and have tried both the FLAC and MP3 encoders. I have now followed the fix that worked for mbdundee of verifying the cda file type was checked, but that did not work for me. This seems very odd. Also, was surprised to not see any other mentions of this issue on the board. I have not had any problems previously when using these encoders for file conversion. This is the first time I have tried to use JR Media Center to rip as I have been using EAC previously...
