Title: Delete Media Mode Buttons/Icons Altogether?
Post by: sdgrizdan on December 24, 2005, 07:12:46 pm
With the termination of the Media Library tree node and the simplification of the tree menus into audio, image, and video, Does MC really benefit from the media mode icons in the upper right corner (under the search box) anymore??

With the current configuration, does anyone still use those buttons? It seems kind of redundant (and possibly confusing for new users b/c of the redudancy) b/c you can now just as easily click on the respective media modes in the tree.

Would deleting the Media Mode Icons altogether clear up some real estate and make the interface look cleaner by vertically centering the search bar?

Anyone else think that MC should rid itslef of those media buttons/links??

I actually use them all the time. I find them very useful.

Michel.

To be honest, I've been using a balnk PNG file to replace the media mode buttons with blank space for about a year now. I never used them and just figured I would find a backwards way of getting rid of them so I wouldnt have to see them.

I use them alot since I don't use the tree view and keep that part closed.  I wish 'that' would be permanent, maybe vertical split views?
