Title: MC tells me my handheld synch is over capacity?
Post by: Sauzee on January 06, 2006, 03:30:29 am
I have a creative muvo nx - 256 MB - which MC and Windows says gives me 245MB free space. I've set up a playlist (with a 243 MB size) limit to synch to the handheld (deleting everything on the handheld).

MC tells me my handheld synch is over capacity? Why?

A bit more info. The maximum MC will transfer to the device is 237.5 MB. If I transfer files using Windows Explorer i can transfer 245 MB.

Why does MC not see the full size of the handheld? Is this a bug or by design?

This is normal.  MC reserves a little space for artwork, playlists, a database, the player's firmware, etc.
