Maybe I am overlooking someting, but

is it possible to tell the Import Media function to scan a directory including all sub directories??

I am not aware of an option to >not< search subdirectories.
At least I just specify the root and MC imports from all folders under it.

I feel somewhat stupid.
The combination of options, excludes, etc made me wonder what was happening.
You are totally right. Your reply made look at it in a different way.
