Random question
I'm curious any idea what sort of hardware is needed
to run 2D visualisations in highest quality mode?
My 1700xp can't hack it. Although it can do the 3D stuff!
At some point this year I intend to do some upgrading, for various things.
One thing I'd like is the high quality visuals.
Are the 2D visuals more effected by main Processing power than Graphics Hardware?
On the whole I don't actually intend to upgrade for performance reasons.
I want to miniturise to something like Mini-ITX, looking at things
like the VIA C7 and equivilents. I also wanna be silent. Preferably
100% fanless!

Anything video related should be dependent on the video card, not the CPU. There should be a lot of pretty good video cards available used.
