Title: Burn folders with subfolders - Please confirm
Post by: ferent on January 17, 2006, 02:37:54 am
Hello;

Yesterday night I burned a CD selecting a folder (with videos, images...) with some subfolders (with other videos, programs...) drag and drop  from the tree menu.

Later I opened that CD and I could see all the content in subfolders arenīt here.

I think this is an important Bug. Could you confirm that?

I suppose you didn't notice that the burn dialog in Action Window has additional options.

Click the underlined "Options" text there and go to "CD/DVD Folder Naming". There are options for using the original folder structure and for making new library field based folders.

The Options button becomes available after you have added files to the burn queue. Perhaps it should work already in the first dialog.

drag and drop of a folder only adds the files in the folder, not subfolders.

If you're inside MC, you can change the view to "recursive" (with or without data files) to see a full list of files. Select them all then drag and drop your selection. paths can be preserved or modified using the appropriate folder naming options as described by Alex. (above).

click "show files" before burning to view the burn list.

The "Same as Original" folder naming option takes care of all subfolders. Though, it copies the complete folder structure including the base folders.
