Title: How do you prepare MP3s into a wave format.
Post by: sandman on September 26, 2002, 09:42:23 am
I want to make a cd compliation from the MP3s I have on my computer. How do you convert MP3 to the WAVE format that can be played on a regular cd player? Please, give me a detailed explanation. I tried the help menu file. It was a little unclear. I believe that before you can burn to a cd, the file has to be in a WAVE format, which was explained by help as being a decoding process. I do not see anything about decoding, just encoding. Thank

Select the files you want to burn, eventually you can place them in a seperate playlist.

Select them
Right click
choose "send to device"
select your burner
choose "audio cd" in the next screen
if not in "burn cd" window, click on "burn cd" from the menu
press "start"

MJ automatically decodes your files and burns them.
You can, if you wish, click on "settings" in the burn window, and there select the "decode mp3 files directly to cd" option. As I understand it, this bypasses the decoding to wav routine and saves some time.

Good luck  - pls write back if this is unclear or doesnt work
