Title: Playback Bug, can anyone confirm?
Post by: Marty3d on January 19, 2006, 04:59:18 pm
Hi!

If you have a bunch of songs in Playing Now, play one, press pause, click on Next. When the next song is ended, MC stops playback and displays ".../5:21" in the info window.

COuld someone confirm this bug or am I just crazy? :/

Btw, I'm using 11.1.101 but this one has been here a long time...

Doesn't do it here.

Put 10 songs into playing now.
Pick one and start playing it.
After a few seconds, hit pause.
Wait a few seconds and hit next.
Next song plays fine and when it is done, MC continues to play as normal.

I tried a few things on my side.
1. Disable Audioscrobbler plugin
R. Didn't help

2. Unticked "Alternative playback" in Player -> Playback Options
R. Didn't help

3. Changed Switch, Seek, Stop settings in Options
R. Didn't help

4. Changed Output mode from Direct Sound to Wave
R. Worked

So I guess you guys who tried all had Wave out?

I tried this and saw the bug as described. I was using direct sound at the time. Yesterday, I went back to ASIO for a bit (playing with my new sound card and loving it) so....

I'll do the test again, back in 5 minutes or so..

yup, using ASIO, it works fine, turn on direct sound, it doesn't.

Could be a bug in the sound card driver.  Try wav out, Marko.  It may also work.  MC options/playback.

If it were mine, I'd also uninstall Audioscrobbler, just to test.

What sound cards do you have?

I updated my Realtek AC'97 sound drivers to 5.10.00.5865. And it seems to work now...did a short test.

Thanks all for helping out!
