Title: Just what can Library Server play?
Post by: Qythyx on January 24, 2006, 06:03:07 pm
I've been using MC with its Library Server functionality for quite a while and have been very happy with it. So far I've been using it just for music. Now, I'm starting to look at other media and I'm wondering just what types of media Library Server supports and if it suports any converting functionality for video.

What I'm specifically looking at now it trying to access my VOBs remotely. Is this possible? If not are there any plans to support VOBs over Library Server in the future?

VOBs currently don't work over library server, we don't have native decoding and the decoder doesn't handle http.

We don't have conversion routines for images or video format, though its something I've wanted to do for a while...
