Title: MC is having problems recognising cover art
Post by: nickharambee on January 27, 2006, 01:15:10 pm
hello

i have my cover art stored in the album folders, with each cover image named as 'folder'.  MC is picking up most of the cover art, using the 'quick find in file/cover art directory' method, but there are quite a lot of covers that it isn't picking up, and the only way for these covers is to use the 'add from file' method for each cover.  does anyone know what i can do to rectify this problem?

thanks

nick

It works for me (MC11.1.106). Do you have the correct location rule selected in MC options? It should be "Next to file (Folder.jpg)".

Are you sure that the files don't have old cover art links? The Image File field must be empty.

Right-click > Image > Remove Cover Art removes the old links.

If that does not help, perhaps you could find a couple of folders where the problem can be reproduced repeatably. You could then post a list of the exact file and folder names (including the possible hidden files) and sample cover art links.

i removed all image links from my music collection, and started from scratch, and all seems to be working now
