Thanks.  How come when I "Check for Updates" my Media Jukebox 8.0.370 told me there were no updates available.  I downloaded it and installed it -- no problem.  Thanks again for constantly working on this masterpiece.  The more I use this -- the more I love it.

Anything here is experimental.  The update shows you what is on the downloads page.

I remind you about an old "bug":

In build 8.0.369 you said:

Quote
7. Fixed: Media Jukebox was displaying warning message if option to save tag info to file was unselected.

However, that issue was not resolved then, and the warning message is displayed if option to save tag info to file is unselected. It is displayed once per file even in the latest build (8.0.378).

Version 370 worked fine for me until yesterday, since then it wouldn't import .ogg files I ripped a day before yesterday (I had to use EAC since MJ gave me all kind of couldn't read sector errors and it tried to rip one song and it went terribly slow - o.5x) and it DID the first time. Now It just crashes every time i try to import OGG files. It even sometimes crashes when I choose Configure. It's weird. I also did fresh reinstall of Windows so it's not problem from my side. Also i  tried several importing options, add to playing now/import from explorer while MJ was (not) running but it just can't import them.

Media Jukebox  8.0.378
Install Path: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\

CPU: Intel Celeron 367 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 261 MB, Free - 104 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows XP  Workstation 5.1  (Build 2600)

Internet Explorer: 6.0.2600.0000
ComCtl32.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shell32.dll: 6.00.2600.0000

I've been using MJ for the last few weeks with no problems so I decided to buy it and download the latest version 8.0.32.

Now I'm geting all sorts of errors when I try to rip.

Usually the first track is copied successfully, but then during encoding or before the second track is ripped I get one of several errors.

Sometimes the system locks up, sometimes, or I get a message that winoldap has caused a fatal error, sometimes I get a message that lame has caused a fatal error, etc.

It's very frustrating since the problem seems to be inconsistent.  I've tried shutting down all other programs and trying different parameters but to no avail.

Is anyone else having problems with the new version or is it just me?

Thanks,

7. Changed: Id3 v2 tag updating should be 30% faster.

Kudos - it cooks now.

8. Fixed: Media Jukebox was returning incorrect path for image files.

Not sure what was fixed.  The problem I've reported about MJ8 looking in Data and not Cover Art dir is still there.

378 still links to external files instead of using tag image. Are you planning to fix this?
