Hi all,
Besides my installation directory and library, what all else do I need to back up if I want to restore MC11 on my new PC exactly as it is on my current PC? Registry entries? Where are they? Anything else?
On another note… is the 11.1 version getting to be stable enough that I should consider switching? I've tried to keep up with the discussions about it but it's a lot of reading... is there a thread that summarizes the still outstanding issues?

Anyone?

Just make a library backup.
You can also backup the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Center 11
However, this is probably overkill.
Also, we'd recommend 11.1 at this point. It's only days from official release.

Thanks, Matt!

MC crashed, everything reset to default settings.
I imported a saved MC registry back up yet nothing changed, so I guess this method doesn't really work.
I hope MC 12 upgrades the library back up system to include many more nuances, so that when MC crashes I don't have to start all over in terms of settings.

Can anybody help me. I have tried to get my media player to get install on my laptop. It won't dowload nat even the trial version. can you help get it back. Thanks Evert

If it doesn't download a trial version, it may be a firewall or other network problem with the PC. You can try the alternate method for download on the download page. It uses http instead of ftp.
