Oh please, more of the same from Microdud, there are all ready reports of security breaches in the browser and it's not even out yet, lol.

I can do more things with Firefox then i could ever imagine with ie, personalized skins, few security problems, plugins for everything from download managers to weather updates, tabbed browsing, works faster, better bookmark manager, easier and smaller updates, etc..

I like the RSS-reader of IE7 better than Sage + Feedview. IE7 has too much eyecandy, though. No doubt it's better than IE6.

I thought it was kinda sparse actually!  Especially where the tabs are concerned.
I like it, I've been using it since last night, and the only thing irritating me
is that it keeps going to Windows Update, which I guess is
because it's a beta, or possibly cuz my machines not to healthy.
I much prefer the way it renders things to FireFox, or Opera, and loosing the menu
bar I think is good for screen space :-)  Can't wait to get my hands on Office 12 :-)

FF is parralel to JJ.

Are you able to right click on a link and open in new tab?  I don't have that option in the right click menu....

Is it for fact that Firefox does not have any security issues? I have been wondering about this Microsoft security breaches for a long time. Why can't Microsoft make their software safer? Why is Eudora safer than Outlook Express, FF safer than IE?

I think the jury shoukld still be out on the security of _any_ program until you can compare apples with apples.

I agree that opensource should be more secure due to the amount of developers reviewing the code, but

Virus writers are not targetting systems until they are prolific. M$ is still the most prolific by a long long way.

I use Firefox and love it, precisely because it doesn't have security holes that are exploited, not because it doesn't have security holes (cause it does have them, all complex systems have them)...

Rich M. is correct, because Firefox only has about 10% of the market compared to Microsofts 90% all the bad guys go after Microsoft because thats where the screw up the most people.

All i know is that when i used Microsoft about 2 or 3 years ago my browsing experience's were really being hampered by all kinds of crap, with Firefox zero, until they start going after firefox thats where i am going to stay, besides check the extensions page for firefox, some of the coolest stuff that you will ever have your browser do.

I've been trying IE7 for about an hour , and although it's far better than IE6 I'm going back to Firefox now.  Firefox's extensions, and Opera's various tweaks, make them almost infinitely configurable.  With IE7 WYSIWYG.  Yes, there are a few customisations that you can make but then you hit a brick wall.  I also notice that installing it as a default browser puts FF into Safe Mode which is a bit cheeky, and replaces it in your Start Menu.

Microsoft may catch up eventually but there's still a long way to go.

Intriguing, that hasn't happened here.

Did you let it install as default browser?  Maybe it's just something in my setup.

Yup.  Only thing is Opera was the default before hand,
however Opera hasn't moved and is still working fine...
FF is also still working fine.

Works here. My IE7's obviously better than yours  :)

The new Beta google bar, once installed and once you restart IE7 twice, will remove the Right Click open in new tab.
I installed the non beta version and all works well.

I find this a lot faster then FF and Maxthon.
