Is this possible? I would get an error until I let "Network users modify my files" ....then MC just hangs in the conversion screen.
As stated, the destination folder is a network place.
thanks,

Anyone?
I can use MC to broswe network folders and then play files right from there, but convert to and place into a net folder locks up the conversion.
Is this a bug or am I asking too much?

Any chance of being able to do this in the future...convert to a networked drive location?

I just tried this and it worked just fine for me.
I went from .mpc to .mp3, saving the converted file to a mapped network drive.
If you try to get to your network location via nethood (or My Network Places) MC has trouble following the shortcuts.

Okay thanks Marko I am new to this game but I just converted the folders into mapped net drives and will try again.
thanks

Where do you see the option to let network users modify my files?
I have searched everywhere for this option and I can not find it.

Sharing & Security, it should be right beneath that checkbox that allows you to share. Then you have to map net drive.

Sharing and Security? I don't see it. What version are you using?
I am using 11.106.
Maybe they took it out in my version cause I can't find it.

he's talking about enabling it through Windows...when you right click a folder in windows explorer and go to sharing and security...
