Title: View scheme question

I've created a view scheme to keep track of which albums are on which MP3 CDs.
So I use Custom 1 field as "On CD", and fill in the number of the CD.
In the view scheme, I've got Custom 1/AlbumArtist/Album, and that gives me a list of MP3 CDs I've made, with a tree that expands to Album Artist and Album.
But I also get at the top of the list (unassigned) -- every other track in my media library. How can I exclude this from the view scheme? I've tried using search criteria but I'm not finding the right combo.

Search Criteria:  -custom1=[]

(only show files where Custom 1 isn't empty)
