I was trying to create an mp3 DVD and had selected a large number of songs to burn (approx 1075). After waiting for the files to burn, MC came up with a message saying it needed another disk (1001 copied, 74 more to go). I decided not to bother putting 74 songs on a DVD so I told it to cancel.
Since this was done, I have lost COMPLETE control over my system. I even had to use the power button on the back of my machine to turn the computer off.
I can now do barely more than play solitaire after doing this. (I can't access the web, or most all other programs on my computer, including MC) Is there something that I have done wrong by telling your program not to finish this operation?

It's probably a coincidence, but try unplugging the DVD drive.
Also, I don't think MC does split a copy across more than one disk. Maybe you were using another program?
