Title: Media Center 9.1 and Ipod 5th generation
Post by: deflupke on February 09, 2006, 07:29:17 am
I recently bought the latest iPod 5th generation. Can I still use Media Center 9.1 with this new iPod ? Is it possible to transfer video .avi files with MC 9.1 ?

I had some issues/conflicts with the iPod updater. Apple support said it was due to MC since the latest iPod updater was built to work with iTunes.

Thanks

Thank you, Apple.

You're best off to update to MC11.1.  A lot of work has been done on the iPod support.  You can try a demo to see for yourself.

thanks - how do I transfer video to the iPod 5G from MC 11.1 ?
Is there a converter .avi to iPod format available in MC 11.1 ?

MC can't convert video formats.  You should be able to drag compatible formats to the iPod or use them in playlists that you synch.

ok - thanks.

I recently converted an .avi file into .mp4 which is readable by the iPod but MC 11.1 didn't recognize the mp4 file in the library. Is this normal ?

Thanks for your help.
