Title: m4a cover art
Post by: trott on February 10, 2006, 02:10:25 am
Hey all,

I think the new directshow support for aac is great since I have quite a lot of these files. However, it seems that MC can not display the cover art in them when I click file properties -> image from the action window. Is this a problem with my machine or ...?

Also, any news on tagging support for m4a files?

Tag support for .m4a AAC files is still rather poor.  You'll have to use the "Folder.jpg" image if you have them.

I have actually got the art both in the file tags and in a folder.jpg file for every album. However, I noticed that while sometimes the cover art is visible, this is not always the case. Is there a way to ensure that when the cover art can not be read from a tag, MC will fall-back to the folder.jpg file? (I have got both options checked: 'use folder.jpg' as well as 'store in tags also')

Please try using one method or the other.
