I see high CPU use with .121 that I did not see before.
This happens playing APE or MP3s.
I thought an uninstall/boot/install/boot had corrected the problem, but it did not.

Is it possible that thumbnails are being rebuilt?

I'm playing a mp3 on my work PC.
2.8ghz 1 gig ram... Crap onboard sound. I get between 1 and 3 usage for MC
-
Playing APEs all day on a P3 450Mhz (yes, I know), 384MB RAM:
CPU is around 13% consistently.

Wow, thats actually quite impressive!

I found the problem.
If the Direct-X host is enabled, I get the high CPU. If I disable it, 1-3%
-
Yeah that would do it, i have a P3 700 and Direct-x host was too slow to use.
What will you do now tho, no rgc stimulator etc plugins ?

I'll see why this build suddenly doesn't like something I've run for years.
Not like it is something just added either in MC or that I just started using.

Well, .122 does not have this problem.
Who knows, chalk it up to visiting the Squirrel-Shaped Fish restaurant today.
With a name like that, how can you resist?
-
Now had you actually seen a Squirrel-Shaped Fish while there I would be impressed. Still, I'd probably have to go and check it out.
-
Oops, it's back in build 124
If I have only the DirectX manager checked with nothing active in it, the CPU stays ok.
As soon as I add Ozone 3 it hits 50% and goes higher.
It isn't that Ozone is bad/broken/corrupt. I can use the same plugin in other audio apps and it plays well.
