I just upgraded to 11.1 and noticed one of my most frequently used tools is gone. The right-click menu used to have an "Edit Selected Item" selection. It was very handy when editing tags on multiple files. I assume there must be a newer (perhaps easier) method of performing the same task but I cannot find it.
I was able to change the tags of multiple files by selecting the files and opening the "Tag Info" sidebar but that method is a bit cumbersome. What am I missing?

It's now called "Rename"
That through me for a loop as well.... F2 still works.
-
Not sure why it was called rename
I am not renaming something I am Editing Text.
Strange
-
Thanks so much! I totally overlooked that.
I guess "Rename" keeps users from errantly selecting "Edit" when they mean to select "Edit Selected Item".

"Rename" is the Windows standard for this behavior. We buckled under the peer-pressure.

"Rename" is the Windows standard for this behavior.
It Takes Me Longer To Find It Now..
Besides In Windows Media Player 10 (The New One), It Is Called "Edit" (I Just Checked) Not Rename.

See, I always thought "Edit Selected Item" was confusing so I'm on the other side of the fence.
(BTW, love the new avatar King).

I'm completely in agreement with KIng! Bring back "Edit Selected Item" !!!
Another wrong does not make it right - do not give way to that kind of pressure!
