Title: Can't download updates

I can no loger download MC11.1 updates.

I get the error "500 illegal port command".

Searching for this it seems that the server is rejecting foreign IPs or high ports and needs to be set to passive mode - whatever that means.

Any ideas?

Maybe a firewall problem on your end.

Passive mode is an FTP option that uses a single port instead of two.

What are you using to download?  Did you try IE?

In your internet options under browsing, turn on (if it's off) passive ftp. Some firewalls will not allow an active ftp connection.
