Hi there
I am missing a feature, which was available in MC-10. There was an Option in the Library View to sort Genres or Albums by Number of Files. The Option is still here, but it's not working anymore.
Also, the Total Number of Files was displayed in MC-10 on top of the Thumbnail. This Number is not visible anymore in MC-11.
Because I'm a "Statistic Fetish", I'd like to know, how many files I have from an Artist, or how many files are in a specific Genre.
Could you please make this available again? Thanks a lot :-)
Best Regards, JNode

Here's a simple solution using MC 11.1:
Click "Audio" in the tree
Switch to "Artists" using the link above the library view
Switch to "Details" using the "Options" link at the right of the view
Sort by "Track #" (this is the number of files in a grouping for grouped views)

Thanks for your Answer. This "little workaround" is exactly the function, which is not working properly on my pc.
It seams, that it's working on your pc, so what could be wrong?
This was working in MC 10 - same files.
btw. MC-10 also shows the number of files in the tiles. That was really cool :-)

MC 10 couldn't show a detailed list of groupings. That's new functionality in MC 11.1.
Make sure you're running the latest MC 11.1 from the top of this board.

Yes, there was no detailed list in MC10.
But there was something equivalent. The Library View was showing the amount of files, and the Library View has displayed the correct Sort Order.
In MC-11, you must switch the view to "Details-View" in Options menu. But if I switch, and sort the view by Number of Files, the view will not show the correct Order.
As you can see on the Screenshot, the first sorted column is <Track #>:

Thanks for the screenshot. Unfortunately, we can't reproduce the issue here.
Could you make sure you have MC 11.1.136 or later?
-
Ah, we found it. If some of the files had a Disc Number filled in, it could cause some confusion in a file grouping.
-
Wow, that was fast!
Thanks for help, maybe it will work in a future version :-)
For the moment, I will move the Disk # Field into a Custom Field to make it work.

It should work fine with tonight's build:
