Title: OT: Aimee Mann

I have been recording Judging Amy (reruns on TNT, but I never seen the show when it was on until last year) and today they played a song at the end. after doing some research i found it was "Aimee Mann - Wise Up"

I think Jillian died after she gave birth to her baby boy (On the TV show)

This was the second song I bought from Itunes, It is very nice.

This song is also in the soundtrack to the movie Magnolia, which IMHO is one of the best films I've ever seen...

Aimee Mann is a WONDERFUL singer/songwriter with a keen sense of observation and an intelligent, witty songwriting style. If you liked "Wise Up" I'd wholeheartedly suggest you pick up her two best (IMO) CDs:

* Bachelor No. 2, Or The Last Remains Of The Dodo
* Lost In Space

The Magnolia soundtrack is also great, as is her concert CD/DVD "Live at St. Ann's Warehouse". I had the pleasure of seeing her perform at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. in late 2005 (same tour that St. Ann's was recorded on) and she and her band were amazing. I've been a big fan for years.

By the way, in case you weren't aware Aimee was the vocalist for the 80's band 'Til Tuesday, who had a big radio hit with their song "Voices Carry" in 1985.

yes, I played about 40 of the 30second short clips and she sounds good, and I will be looking into maybe buying more of her songs.

Actually it seems Jillian is in a coma today On Judging Amy (On TNT)
