I have some uncompressed WAV files captured from tape using CDWave.
When I use MJ8 to play the WAV files they sound fine. But when I convert them using the MJ8 Convert tool to conver the WAVs to MP3, the MP3's playback much faster and at a higher pitch.
Is there a setting I'm missing?

what is the sample rate of the wave files?
if it is not 44.1Khz that might be why

You have ran into the same problems as I did.
Check out my posting of 19 June under "Converting voice audio tapes to mp3" for answers.
Good luck
