Title: Track 32 Where Are You?
Post by: Nick_LeFave on September 19, 2002, 10:16:34 pm
Any track number "32" in my collection gets changed to "0". I change the track number back to "32" and it magically gets changed back to the number "0" upon the next fresh MJ 8.0 session. I've had this problem across all builds of 8.0, but it just finally got on my nerves because I have been downloading several 32+ track compilations off of emusic lately. Of course, it all could be a hallucination, us Iowans down here ain't to tied to reality. ;)

This Is Not New, and was changed about a year ago.

since the way ID3v1 tags use Chr(32) and that = "Space" and 32 was showing up everytime there was a space in the id3v1 tag and most cd's do not have 32 tracks it was just reset to "0"

I am not sure if turning off id3v1 will fix the problem, but it might.

shouldn't really be a big problem to show track 32 if id3v2 contains 32.

v9 must fix this because I set it to track 32 and it stayed. Deleted from the library and reimported and it's still 32. Using both 1 & 2.

Must be a bug. lol ::)

I played the track in winamp (sorry, please forgive me) and it showed 32 for both id3v1 and id3v2 using v9.

(I only installed winamp as a test as no other players could read track numbers. Removing winamp now.)

v9 is very very good. hopefully a beta version will be out soon.
