Title: Downloading Cover Art to iPod with MC 11.1
Post by: molarman on March 20, 2006, 12:47:55 pm
I searched and found quite a few threads discussing this issue, but they were all 4 months old or so (and bugs were being reported).  From what I read, it sounds as if MC 11.1 has the capability to download cover art to an iPod (nano) but I am unsure how this is done.  Is it an easy thing to do?

If you have cover art with your tracks, MC11.1 will transfer it to iPods that support cover art when you synch or drag files manually.

So it happens automatically, without having to specifically request it in the sync or elsewhere?  Correct?

I think I read that if cover art is added to MC after the album has already synched with the iPod, that the cover art will not come across.  If memory serves, the thread stated that the album must be removed from the iPod and then the cover art will go along with the album in the next synch.  Do I have that right?

I believe yes....

I had to delete all my tracks, then re sync it.

That is the way it currently works.

If the track is already on the iPod, the sync will not detect cover art changes.  You have to delete the tracks and re-sync.  Everthing works fine when you do that.
