Title: Redetect portable device?

MC detected my Pocket PC when I first connected it but at that time I said no to it being used as a portable device. Now, I've changed my mind and want to transfer music to the SD card. A Mobile Device appears in explorer but how do I get it to appear in MC's tree now?

Make sure you've got MC11.1 and it's a recent build.

In Handheld options, do "redetect devices".

Whoa, that was quick.

I'm using 11.1.140 but redecting devices doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've hit the 'Redetect All Devices' button a few times (with the PPC connected), restarted MC and unplugged/replugged the PPC while MC is open.

Anything else I should try?

Uninstall MC, removing registry settings, reboot, reinstall.  You'll lose any customizations.

If that's my only option, I think I'll do it through ActiveSync.
