Hi!
I have a small collection of movies and tv shows. Recently I noticed that I could group TV seasons by [Album]. Neat, but not 100% semantic in my opinion.
Anyway, when I import my movies, some are two discs and therefor shows both disc 1 and 2. I want to group these and found out I could use Album here as well. But my question is when importing these files:
Before, I used "Fill Properties from filename" with Directory: [Name] to set the name for the movies based on the folder name they were in. How to use "Fill Properties from filename" to set BOTH [Name] and [Album] based on directory name?
Thanks!

I think you need to do it in two steps.

Ok, thanks!
Is there a better way to group seasons/multidisc video than using [Album]? Anyone played around with this?

I use the [Album] tag for Seasons in TV shows (and [Artist] for Show Title). I do not use it for multi-disc sets for other videos -- I just include "(Disc 1)" as part of the track name. It works quite well for my needs.
Then I made a View Scheme called "TV Show/Series/Season" under the Video part of the tree which contains Artist & Album "children/panes" and has this search:
[Media Type]=[Video] [Genre]=[TV Show] ~sort=[Artist],[Album],[Name]

Thanks glynor!
Is it possible to copy the [Album] logic so you can use the internal system grouping for another field?
As I understand, [Album] is handled in a special way compared to other fields...
I still think using Artist/Album for Video is somewhat...limiting. :)
