Title: Installing DJ_Hazelwood's "MutiInfo" plugin.
Post by: lalittle on March 24, 2006, 11:00:49 pm
With all of the MC plugins I've tried so far, you just hit "download" in it automatically installs the plugin.  With DJ_Hazelwoods "MutliInfo" track info plugin, however, it simply downloads a zip file, and gives no instructions where to unzip it or how to install it.  How does one "install" this track info plugin, and why doesn't it automatically install like all the other plugins?

Thanks,

Larry

Create new directory in track info plugins (in my case C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\Visualizations\Track Info } called Multi Info.
Unzip downloaded file (772.zip) anywhere and copy the 7 files to this new directory. MC should recognise this great plugin. Why it doesn't install automatically ?
Hope this helps.

Thanks -- that worked.  Somebody should fix/create an installer for this plugin so that people who don't want to take the time to ask about this sort of thing will be more likely to use it.

This has been changed now. The MultiInfo-download now starts the MC-installer just like the other downloads do.

Thanks -- this will make things easier in the future.  I really like this plugin, by the way -- it offers capabilities that none of the other "Playing Now" screens offer.
