I have just rebuilt may system and I have recovered my license, and checked for updates. The current update it shows available is 11.1.111. When I click on download, it comes up with an error, can't connect to server. I also shows the url: ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter.exe.
I have MC11 set up as an exception in my firewall. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Update server appears to be working.
I'm sure firewalls cause more hassle than they solve :)
You could try turning it off, then trying the update,
then turning it back on again. That way you'll know
if it's to do with the firewall.
The link you've provided isn't working :- See Alex's Post below
Failing that if you just want the latest build:
What happens when you use the latest build from the top of this board?

The address should be: ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter11.exe
The link you posted link does not have the number 11 after MediaCenter. What is your current version? Perhaps it has an obsolete download link.
Also, the link downloads the version 11.1.144 (at the moment), not 11.1.111.
Alternatively, you could download the latest development build as Mr Chriz suggested. I think the build is quite stable and safe to use.
Remember to backup your media library before installing the new version. (File > Library > Backup Library...)

I guess I miscopied the url :P. However, even with the corresct one, I get the same message. Furthermore, I can't download MC11.1.154 either. The connection times out. I tried disabling my firewall, and that didn't help. Any other ideas?
Thanks Again

Try downloading with IE.
FTP may need to be set to passive in your browser.
Try the http link. Just substitute http for the ftp at the beginning.

http seems to have worked for MC11.1.154 ;D
Thanks!
