What happened to my restores?
I have not used the amount of restores your records show.
Could someone be using my number?
I read where if you run out of restores, all you need to do is let you know..
Thats nice considering I plan on a lot of hardware activity shortly...
BUT
Where do I send a mesage to ask to have the restores fixed?
I have scoured the MC website and I can not even find an email to the company anymore except for collecting license $
I dont even know if this is the right place to ask about the restores...
Very confused lady,
Anne

Please send your name and e-mail that you used for the license to me as a private message.

I have the following restores for your MC11 license:
Mon Aug 15 14:43:45 2005
Wed Sep 14 08:25:02 2005
Mon Nov 7 15:42:32 2005
Tue Nov 22 19:42:29 2005
Fri Jan 27 00:54:08 2006
Thu Feb 9 18:08:34 2006
Tue Mar 28 01:57:12 2006
Does this look correct?

YES it looks correct.... except for the one yesterday..
BUT there is supposed to be 10 a year and it looks like you did not restart the counter in January.
I most certainly will run out of restores every year if the account does not get reset each year.

Your restore gets renewed 1 year after you use it, Not at the begginning of every year.
Each Restore file is good for 14 days, and you get a 30 day trial to before you have to restore.
If you follow this, it would not be possible to use up all your restores...
-
If you run out, just post here...

Thank you John. I appreciate the response.
Have a great day,

Sir, in response to your statement that a person can not use up ten restores a year........
.. In fact, a person "could" use 23 restores a year !
Consider a person that restores every 15th day for instance.
I do a restore of MC once a week "on average", sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on what kind of testing I happen to be doing.
Thank goodness most of my restores are within the 14 days the restore code is good, --- "run out of restores' -- yes I probably will , especially now that I am working with VISTA.
Have a good day,
Anne

Eeeww!
Thufferin' Thuccotash! :-\

What ImJustaGamer was referring to was this scenario:
A restore is required. Instead of using it right away, use MC in demo mode for a month, and then do the restore. The restore is valid for two weeks, so if you need a restore in the next two weeks, you can use the same one. This means with one restore you get at least a month and a half of use. Multiply by 10 gives 15 months...

I thought you could not use "demo mode (30 days trial period)" more than once...
-
I'm assuming that whatever caused the restore to be needed also reset the demo mode stuff as well (which may not be a valid assumption...)

If we made everything that comes up frequently sticky, the whole board would be pretty sticky.

Like The Floor In A Cheap Movie Theater, On a warm summer's day
I Remember a Movie Theater Here In Fayetteville, NC "The King Theater" It Was $1. Me And My Wife Went To See A Movie Once, And A Roach Was Running Across The Floor, And Got Stuck On The Floor Like A Mouse\Rat On A Glue Board.
The Theater Has Been Closed For The Last 8 Years.
We Never Did See The Movie, We Walked Out.

Funny. Poor roach.

... A Roach Was Running Across The Floor, And Got Stuck On The Floor ...
As I'm not a native english speaker I need to use a dictionary from time to time.
From the American Heritage dictionary:
1) roach (rōch)
n., pl. roach or roach·es.
1. A freshwater fish (Rutilus rutilus) of northern Europe.
2. Any of various similar or related fishes, such as some North American sunfishes.
[Middle English roche, from Old French roce, roche.]
2) roach (rōch)
n., pl. roach·es.
1. The cockroach.
2. Slang. The butt of a marijuana cigarette.
3) roach (rōch)
n., pl. roach·es.
1. A roll of hair brushed up from the forehead or temple.
2. A hairstyle especially among certain Native American peoples in which the head is shaved except for a strip from front to back across the top.
3. Nautical. An outward curve in the leech of a fore-and-aft sail.
I guess you mean a cockroach or was it a sunfish on the run? :)
