I tried this on 2 Dell computers and, same results. My video card is: Intel(R) 82810 Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation)
Display adapter.

Had same problem with ATI RADEON 9800 Vid card. Updating drivers solved problem. Before you update you could run the DirectX diagnostic to check for problems. Run it from the command line: dxdiag.exe
Hope is help

Well that is no good. When you ran the DirectDraw & Direfct3D tests where the "rotating cubes" displayed correctly with the green X[/color] with black and white lettering and shading? You may try installing newest DirectX version 9.0C.http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx)
