Hi,
The question I just posted here was asking for help displaying visualizations in the Play Now pane. The 'Visualizations' option on the 'Set Display' submenu was missing.
I've just found the answer - the music I was playing was an m4p file from iTunes. When I play an mp3 file the visualizations work fine.
So I'll change the question to: Why are visualizations not available for m4p files? Is this a legal thing or just not a feature yet?
(From what I've seen of Media Center it looks great :D)
Many thanks

If you install DirectShow filters for MP4 files and enable the option in Options > Playback > DirectShow... MC will play MP4 through its native engine. This will allow DSP, cross-fading, visualizations, etc.
Without this, MP4 files are played using the QuickTime engine.
