Title: Crash MC

Hi,

I have follwing problem with MC 11.163.
when opening videos the MC crashes.
even if i only open the video tab.

please help

Hi i Know now the problem!

If i enable the thumbnail than it crashes if not it's working as ist should be
is there as posiblity to change that?
Even moving the mouse courser over the entry chrashes mc (picture is loaded)
mpeg file type

Is it possible to deactivate thumbnails for videos only
i mean disabling to whole function?

Does this also hang windows? I had a similar problem were explorer would crash when it displayed the thumnail for videos.
Can you click on a video and see the thumnail in explorer?

no not such a thing explore works fine no system crash only MC
mov file work great
mpegs and avi make trouble

Is there any way you could try the file on another machine with MC intalled?

If the file(s) still don't work, maybe you could make one available for us to test with.

I will test the files on my notebook with MC.

works fine with my notebook if play modus is not media player else even my notebook MC crashes.
If i change the player on the desktop it plays the video but
crashes when mc tries to get the thumbnail.
should i try to install mc new??

File size makes it impossible to send the file per mail 34MB is the smallest

It is Working now!!! ;D
ACE Codec Pack deinstalled
and now it is runing smothly.
Will check the pack what codec caused the error!

Thanks for letting us know.

Unfortunately it's a bit of a deal with the devil supporting DirectShow filters.  If they're bad, they can bring down the whole program.

So now its official ACE Minimalist installation is working
if you use this pack do not install more.
           ACEMCP603PRO
Thanks for the support maybe you try the full version and it will be possible to use
the prof version of ACE codec pack too.
