I'll throw this amongst the millions of other requests
including my own.
It would be good to be able to "Interupt Playing Now"
on any track.
This would be particularily useful for podcasts etc.
On completion of the item that is interrupting
playback would resume from the point at which interruption
occured.
It would also be the default for when something is imported with
from explorer etc.

I second that - often I'm listening to an album while compiling a list for a cd or whatever, and I'll want to check something out without affecting what's in the 'now playing' list. A kind of preview or what Mr Chriz suggested would be great.

Really good idea.
In a similar vein, what do you guys think about how shuffle actually shuffles the tracks in Playing Now as opposed to doing a randomized playback. This often frustrates me since I sometimes want to toggle shuffle on/off w/o jacking up a playlist I have loaded or created (and maybe not saved), and then have to reload it for now shuffled playback.
